## Product questions

### What is Scouty?

Scouty (scouty.to) is a B2B prospecting and outreach tool for founders and small teams. Start with your business website to find matching companies and decision makers, review personal emails before sending, and move interested replies toward meetings.

### Who is Scouty for?

Founders and small B2B teams that sell to other businesses but don't have an SDR team. If you know your product but not who to email next, Scouty does the research, the list and the first email for you.

### Do I need a list of leads to get started?

No. Paste your website and Scouty builds your first list of matching companies and decision makers. You start from a blank slate.

### Do I need an account to try it?

No. Explore research, competitors, campaign ideas, companies and contacts, then read and edit an email preview. Sign in with email or Google when you're ready to save your work. You confirm your website before saving, and review emails separately before sending.

### How much does Scouty cost?

Exploring, researching and drafting are free. Each account starts with $10 in trial credit, with no card required. Initial outreach and scheduled follow-ups cost $0.03 per sent email, or $30 per 1,000 emails. Once your trial credit runs out, add a payment method and choose to resume sending. Paid usage is billed automatically each month, with no base subscription fee or default spending cap. You can stop future paid sending in Billing at any time.

### How accurate is the contact data?

Companies and contacts come from a B2B database of millions of companies. Each email is labelled: verified, unverified (for example a catch-all domain) or unavailable. People without a usable email can't be emailed.

### Will the emails actually sound like they came from me?

Every email is written for the person, based on their role, their company and the campaign you picked. You review and send the first email. Optional automatic follow-ups use three messages you review and approve in advance.

### Which address do emails come from? Will they land in spam?

Emails go out from a dedicated sending address set up for you, with the sender name you choose. Scouty sends one personal email per person rather than bulk blasts. If someone asks you to stop, their reply is tracked in the conversation and you must honor that request.

### How does meeting booking work?

Connect a Google Calendar to the project. Any Google account works. When someone replies wanting to talk, Scouty books the time they asked for if you're free. Otherwise it drafts a reply with open times for you to review and send. You can turn automatic booking off at any time.

### Can Scouty follow up automatically?

Enable auto follow-up in a project, then review and approve three messages before sending your first email. Follow-ups wait at least three days and send Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM in your chosen time zone. Any reply stops the sequence, and it ends after three follow-ups. You can stop pending messages at any time; messages already being sent cannot be recalled.
